During the 2017 total solar eclipse more than 10,000 observers helped scientists collect over 20,000 cloud observations with 60,000 photos and 80,000 air temperature measurements. These observations were uploaded using the GLOBE Observer app. Join Terence Finnegan from the Gulf of Maine Research Institute for an overview of the GLOBE Eclipse project, and information about how you and your family can participate, no matter where you are along the path of totality on April 8. Terence will also demonstrate some simple science experiments you can do to understand what is going on during a solar eclipse.
Although this event has been canceled due to the weather, please register if you would like to receive information via email about how you can become involved in eclipse-related citizen science efforts.
