Come hear the fascinating and nostalgic story of the Cape Cottage Casino area and its transition from trolley park to waterfront neighborhood. The tale starts with the construction of the Casino in 1898 and continues to 1942 and the beginning of World War II. Presenter Chuck Drake will show vintage photos of the Casino and the houses subsequently built on the property, and share a short biography of Harry E. Baker, Cape’s first town wide real estate developer and the driving force behind the transformation of the Casino property into the attractive neighborhood it is today.
