Abigail Hayne is the Youth Climate Engagement Coordinator with the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future. She organizes opportunities for young Mainers to learn about the state’s climate action plan, Maine Won’t Wait, and how they can play a role in Maine’s climate future. She also garners youth perspectives and feedback to bring back to the Climate Council as they prepare to update Maine Won’t Wait – due in December 2024.

As a part of this work, Abigail is hosting this climate action workshop for tweens and teens where she will explain how Maine is acting on climate, and how young people can find climate action that aligns with their interests and strengths.
