Look Up! The Science of the Sun, from the Eclipse to the Northern Lights, with Terence Finnegan

Come learn about science behind both our recent solar eclipse and dazzling displays of the Northern Lights. Terence Finnegan, from Gulf of Maine Research Institute, will share photos and videos, and discuss the active solar cycle we’re currently in, and how data from citizen scientists around the world are contributing to our understanding of solar events. If you’d like to share your own photos or videos at this event, please visit the library website to upload them. There will be an opportunity to share your own eclipse and Northern lights stories at the program as well!
